Shipping Policy
At TimberForge Gates Ltd, we are committed to delivering high-quality timber gates safely, securely and on time. Please read our Shipping Policy before placing your order.
1. Delivery Areas
We currently deliver throughout the United Kingdom.
FREE standard delivery is available for all eligible mainland UK addresses.
Deliveries to certain remote locations, including the Scottish Highlands, offshore islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands, may require an additional delivery charge or extended delivery time. If this applies to your order, we will contact you before dispatch.
2. Order Processing
Our business hours are:
Monday to Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (UK Time)
Orders placed before 2:00 PM (Monday to Friday) are normally processed and dispatched the same working day, subject to stock availability.
Orders placed after 2:00 PM, on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next working day.
3. Delivery Times
We aim to deliver all in-stock products as quickly as possible.
Estimated delivery times are:
- Mainland UK: 1–2 working days after dispatch
- Remote UK Locations: 2–5 working days
Delivery times are estimates only and may occasionally vary due to circumstances beyond our control.
4. Free UK Delivery
We are pleased to offer FREE standard delivery on all eligible mainland UK orders.
There are no hidden delivery charges for standard mainland UK deliveries.
If an additional delivery charge applies due to your postcode or delivery location, we will contact you before processing your order.
5. Large & Heavy Deliveries
Our timber gates are large, heavy products and are delivered using specialist courier services.
To help ensure a smooth delivery, please make sure:
- The delivery address is accurate and complete.
- There is suitable access for the delivery vehicle.
- Someone is available to receive the delivery where required.
If delivery cannot be completed due to restricted access, incorrect address details or the recipient being unavailable, additional delivery charges may apply for re-delivery.
6. Inspecting Your Delivery
Please inspect your order as soon as it is delivered.
If your order arrives:
- Damaged
- Faulty
- Incomplete
- Incorrect
please contact us within 24 hours of delivery.
When contacting us, please include:
- Your order number
- A brief description of the issue
- Clear photographs of the product
- Photographs of the packaging (where applicable)
We will investigate the issue promptly and work with you to provide an appropriate resolution.
7. Delivery Delays
Whilst we work with reliable courier partners, delivery delays can occasionally occur due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Severe weather
- Road traffic incidents
- Courier network delays
- Industrial action
- Vehicle breakdowns
- Public holidays
- Other unforeseen events
TimberForge Gates Ltd cannot accept liability for delays caused by these circumstances, but we will always do our best to keep you informed.
8. Failed Deliveries
If delivery cannot be completed because:
- The delivery address provided is incorrect;
- Access to the property is restricted;
- Nobody is available to receive the goods where required;
the courier may attempt re-delivery or return the goods to us.
Any additional delivery costs arising from failed deliveries may be the responsibility of the customer.
9. Ownership & Risk
Ownership of the goods transfers to you once full payment has been received.
Responsibility for the goods passes to you once your order has been successfully delivered to the delivery address provided during checkout.
10. Order Tracking
Where available, tracking information will be provided once your order has been dispatched, allowing you to monitor your delivery.
